The Fifth International Biopharmaceutical Industry Technology Seminar was successfully held on Beijing's Shounong Xiangshan Conference Center from JULY 26th to 27th,2012. The seminar was sponsored by Chinese Biotechnology Society and Chinese Society of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Technical Committee, and co-operated by China Biotechnology magazine and Undertaken by Beijing ZhongYuan Ltd.

The seminar was titled with “New technology and process development of the biological products ". And many professors from National Institutes For Food and Drug Control, China National Biotech Group, AMERICAN TYPE CULTURE COLLECTION (ATCC), BECTON DICKINSON ASIA LIMITED(BD), Waters, Sartorius, Belimed, etc. attend the seminar. Impassioned discussion was made on several titles: “new techniques recommend for biotechnical products research and development”、“key technique in the production process”  and “relative GBP regulation”. Hundreds of professors from all over the country attended the seminar, and those are from either biopharmaceutical manufacturers or research institutes.

 Dr Zhang, as Minister of R&D deparrment, China National Biotech Group, introduced the current status and development trend of the vaccine products.

The professor, acting as the Technical experts in Asia-Pacific Region ,introduced the accurate examples of vaccine production with BD products.

Dr. Chen of Waters introduced the application and impact of LC/MS on generic drug in biopharmaceutical field

Director Tang. of National Institutes For Food and Drug Control introduced the policy issues about bio-products research and production.

The Director of Market Development at Belimed introduced the cleaning equipments conforming to cGBP standard.

Frank, product director of Sartorius, introduced the new techniques about down-processing in biopharmaceutical field.

Dr Yin of ATCC introduced the newest techniques and products and related standardization regulations.

Product director Mr. Luan from BD introduced the application of some kinds of rapid microbial counting skills on vaccine production and quality control process.

Chief Scientist Dr.ZHU Xican from Zhongyuan introduced pipeline bio-clean production process skills which Dr.Zhu studied and developed for many years. The skills are featured with simple equipments, low cost, high production capacity and high quality of products.

Apart from the wonderful speeches, the seminar also had 3 times of lottery and more than 30 pc of alluring gifts were presented.

 In the evening of 26th, all the attendees enjoyed the wonderful dinner and the happiness and fruitful seminar brought to.
