At the invitation of the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products (NICPBP), we attended the National 2008 Flu Vaccine Batch Release meeting during March 13-14,2008 in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Attending units included China CDC National Flu Center, Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, NICPBP, seven major Province Pharmaceutical Control Center, Jiangsu CDC and National Flu vaccine manufactures and R&D units.

This Batch Release meeting is supported by Jiangsu Yanshen Biological Technology Stock Co.,LTD. The topics of the meeting mainly included: The Surveillance and Analysis Report of National Influenza Epidemiology in 2007 by National Influenza Center; The Influenza Vaccine Batch Release Situation in 2007 by NICPBP; The Development of Research on Avian Influenza Vaccine for Human Use by SINOVAC BIOTECH CO.,LTD.; and 10 domestic manufacture of Influenza Vaccine reported their situations of vaccine production and use in 2007 respectively.

During the break time, our company illuminated the situation of WHO recommendatory Influenza strain and order state in this year, for the type H3N2 AND B standards have to be purchased from TGA center of Australia, thus we explained some details upon this issue, and hope to help most Influenza manufactures at the beginning of this year.
